Love comes in all kinds of packages, especially in such a diverse place like Los Angeles. Hear stories of love, acceptance, and joy through the powerful voices of LA’s LGBTQ and ally community. As part of the PROUD Series, Grand Park’s PROUD Stories invites all to celebrate the LGBTQ experience with readings, kids’ activities, and theater performances in the Park for Everyone.

• DAN GUERRERO presents Activism & the Arts: A Life Journey, a personal  look at decades of Mexican-American/Chicano and LGBT history  illustrating the cultural and social intersection of the two communities.
• LIVE PERFORMANCES by GENDER JUSTICE LA THEATRE OF THE OPPRESSED
• STORIES AND SPACE SHARED with members of BETTER BROTHERS LA: JAYCE BARON, XAVIER LEONARD and VINCENT TERRELL DURHAM.

• Check out a “book” through the SOGIE HUMAN LIBRARY, a project to share experiences, seek advice, and find common ground in hopes to gain better understanding about alternative perspectives in the SOGIE/LGBTQIA+ community
• Get crafty! ZINE-MAKING with API EQUALITY-LA
• PUPPET-MAKING with ZIMMER CHILDREN’S MUSEUM
• FAMILY STORYTELLING PROJECT with the LA GAY AND LESBIAN CENTER
• SOGIE STORIES RECORDING BOOTH will capture participants’ thoughts about, “Who they are proud to love?” captured live at the PROUD Stories event.
