For the eighth year, Grand Park + The Music Center’s N.Y.E.L.A. will be the go-to central gathering place in Los Angeles as the West Coast’s flagship New Year’s celebration! Free for all ages and expanded to include The Music Center Plaza, this unique civic event brings together Angelenos and visitors from around the globe to usher in 2020 at L.A.’s biggest music and dance party. Starring L.A.’s best DJs and bands, Grand Park + The Music Center’s N.Y.E.L.A. will also feature its signature 3-D video projection and light show on the side of the iconic City Hall with pyrotechnics to ring in the New Year. Party-goers will also enjoy an array of food trucks on-site serving up various culinary delights available for purchase.

The event features two stages of simultaneous performances. Pan Afrikan Peoples Arkestra (Leimert Park’s legendary Afro-beat jazz band) headlines the “Countdown Stage” (located near Spring Street) and also features DJ Pauli “The PSM” (Drummer with the Gorillaz), Thee Sinseers (East L.A.’s R&B), and Banda Las Angelinas (Compton’s all-female banda group) between 8:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m., emceed by Emmy-award winning TV host Pili Montilla. The sights and sounds of the “Countdown Stage” will be broadcast live on The Music Center Plaza’s giant LED screens. ASL interpretation will be available on the “Countdown Stage” throughout the party.

Purveyors of two of Los Angeles’ popular dance nights, Gasolina (featuring DJ Chava and DJ Krucial) and Cherry Poppin’ (featuring DJ Rell and DJ Bonds hosted by KG Superstar), will bring their sounds to Grand Park, celebrating a vital part of L.A.’s nightlife scene through Reggaetón and Hip Hop on the park’s “Get Down Stage” (located near Hill Street).
