Grand Park reveals its first-ever shade structure, providing a cooler place for Angelenos to play, relax and connect. All are invited tot he official reveal of the structure, based on the winning Paper Airplane concept. This project is made possible by the My LA2050 Grants Challenge.

Grand Park partners with the City of Los Angeles and Councilmember Jose Huizar in celebrating the Annual ¡El Grito! – Mexican Independence Day Celebration and the September Independence Days of Chile. Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras. and Nicaragua.

On SAT SEPT 24, additional areas will be in use including the Fountain Overlook, Olive Court and the Performance Lawn.
The splash pad will open on SUN SEPT 25 for play.
The splash pad will close on MON SEPT 26 for a lease event.
The splash pad will open on TUES SEPT 27 and will remain open until further notice.
Public access through this area will be available via the North and South walking paths for patrons traveling between Grand Ave. and Hill St. Starbucks will remain open in addition to park restrooms.

Grand Park’s Event Lawn will used for the kickoff performance for the 43rd LA Korean Festival on WED SEPT 21. The event will take place from noon – 1:30PM and will be a free public event.

Grand Park Event Lawn between N Broadway and Spring will be used as the starting and end point for NAMIWalks Los Angeles County on SAT OCT 1. The event will take place from 8AM – 12:30PM.
Please visit namiwalks.org for more information, including regisration.

Grand Park’s Olive Court will used for the L.A. County Civic Rideshare Event on THURS OCT 6. The event will take place from 8AM – 2PM. This is free public event. For more information about Rideshare, visit rideshare.lacounty.gov.
